We’re Rob and Sarah. We photograph weddings.
We’re a full-time business and weddings are our speciality. We don’t hire in other photographers so when you book us, you’re booking us.
For the vast majority of the weddings we work on, we both take the photographs and we’re very much a team effort. We got married ourselves in 2011 so we know a bit about what goes into planning a wedding.
We have two small dogs named Pippa and Bella who we often bring with us on photo shoots. We don’t bring them to weddings, but they did come to our own!
Sarah likes fish. Rob doesn’t. We both love Scotland.
How We Work
Our style is a blend of the kind of wedding photographs we like the most. Part reportage, part contemporary portraiture - but above all else our photographic style is one of storytelling.
For most of the day, we stay in the background, preferring to quietly document events rather than contrive them. Our pictures are all about real moments, context and emotion, with a bit of stylish portraiture for good measure.
Because you’re hiring both of us, we can be in two places at once. We can usually cover both the bride and groom getting ready as well as having two viewpoints for the ceremony and other parts of the day.
We will need to take you two off alone for the “couple” photographs, but we try and keep these as natural as possible.
To help, we include a pre-wedding photo session a month or two before your wedding day. This gives you chance to get used to how we work so you feel more relaxed and comfortable in front of the cameras. It’s also a great opportunity for us to spend a bit more time with you. Having a good rapport with our clients is a priority to us and it’s part of the reason our wedding photos look the way they do.
Don’t worry, we’ll still do your formal family photos, we just ask that you keep the numbers sensible.
If you live in the Midlands area, we’d be happy to meet somewhere to hear about your wedding plans and to talk further about how we do things. If a meeting isn’t possible, we’re always happy to talk on the ‘phone.
Thank you for your interest. We’d love to hear from you
