Colin and Sara’s big day was held at two venues we’re quite familiar with. St Alphege, sitting at the end of Solihull’s high street, has been used for weddings by several generations of Sara’s family. The Ramada hotel – conveniently across the road – is a venue well-versed in holding wedding receptions. The only downside is the lack of grounds but we made up for that by getting Sara and Colin’s driver to take them down to the Brueton Park gates for the all-important photos of them alone.
Sarah and I again did a ‘split’ morning, with me covering the goings-on at Sara’s parents’ while Sarah met up with the boys at the Ramada to cover them getting ready (including checking how to properly do their ties on the iPhone!).
