Roger and Pippa’s wedding was held at the Fairlawns Hotel near Aldridge.  This was a very relaxed and well-paced day and with a massive stroke of luck the weather was gorgeous!

The Fairlawns is a relatively small venue but one with really lovely gardens and it’s a place we look forward to returning to.  And in stark contrast to one of our earlier July weddings, the registrar was very friendly and was happy for us to photograph as much as we needed throughout the ceremony.

Despite the rain trying it’s best to spoil the day, we had a terrific pre-wedding photo session with Peter and Rachael who will be getting married in August.

Ben and Amy came to us as a referral booking from one of our earlier clients, Kaye and Tom.  They’ll be getting married in August and since their reception venue is very local to us, we met up with them at Hogarth’s in Dorridge for their pre-wedding shoot.

Catherine & Michael booked us early last year for their wedding this August.  We met up with them earlier this month for their pre-wedding shoot.  Here’s a few pics from the session.

Sarah and Raymond’s big day made use of two great venues.  St Edburgha’s Church in Yardley is a wonderful old church tucked away from the noise and bustle of the main road.  Nailcote Hall just outside Balsall Common is popular venue and a lovely place to work at, with excellent facilities and staff who know how to look after the workers!  Once again we thank the Nailcote team for looking after us and ensuring everything went smoothly.  We’d also like to thank Reuben Lynch, the toastmaster for the day who gave us some great tips for our own upcoming wedding! (especially the one about roast potatoes – inside joke!)  Last but not least a big thank-you to Steve from Plus Pictures who provided Sarah and Raymond’s video coverage.  We don’t encounter video at every wedding we photograph, but it’s always a welcome relief to work with someone who is so unobtrusive.
