Lisa & John’s wedding on 21st February took place at St Alphege Church and the Ramada Hotel, both in Solihull’s town centre, so this was very much a local wedding for us.

The minute we met Simon and Angela at the Ettington Chase wedding fayre last September, we liked them.   Evidently they liked us too as they booked us pretty much on the spot, for their winter wedding at the lovely, Mitchelin-starred  Mallory Court near Leamington Spa, Warwickshire.

With just 26 guests this was an intimate, low-key wedding with a warm and inviting atmosphere throughout the day.  Even the recent weather had the decency to hold off for a day (I think it got it’s revenge this morning though).

We were also treated to some of the best food we’ve had in ages.  As we work for most of the day arrangements are usually made between the couple and the venue to put on a simple meal for us while the guests enjoy the wedding breakfast.  However at Mallory we had a beautifully cooked beef fillet which was far and above the standard expected.  A big thank-you to Natalie, Dominique and the other staff at Mallory.

Some of our site visitors and customers may have noticed a few problems with the website over the last day or two.  Some of the blog entries and a couple of the online gallery pages disappeared.

I’m happy to report that everything now seems back to where it should be, which is relief because I have yesterday’s wedding to process!

I could talk in really heavy technical language about what happened, but “the web hosting company screwed it up” is probably quicker and just as accurate.
