Today we’ve been exhibiting at the final wedding fayre of the season, at the Avoncroft Museum Of Historic Buildings near Bromsgrove.
With the dull, wet weather we were expecting a low turnout but were pleasantly surprised by the amount of visitors and were busy talking to potential clients throughout the duration. This is due in no small part to the promotions run by Observer Standard Newspapers – in particular Vanessa Bradford, whose fayres we always find to be well-run and attended.
We were impressed too by the venue itself and the enthusiasm of it’s staff. Quite a unique and unusual place to get married, but a venue with lots of charm and capability. A big thank-you to Rachel Shepherd for taking the time to explain how things work.
Our table today was a little cramped but we managed to get everything on show. Here’s Sarah, working hard!

Our last pre-wedding shoot for this year saw us returning to the wonderful Jephson Gardens in Royal Leamington Spa. Located half-way between their home town of Banbury and our base in Solihull, the gardens were an ideal place to go for a practice session for Jemma & Tim before their big day in December.
Of course, a certain someone had to get in on the action…

At the recent Ettington Chase wedding fayre, we were booked for a small mid-week wedding next February by Simon and Angela. To make the best use of the lovely weather earlier this month, we met up for their pre-wedding shoot a little earlier than usual and in a setting we’d not been to before – the lovely Jephson Gardens in Royal Leamington Spa, on a glorious autumnal day…

After Kim & Jonathan’s fabulous chinese wedding, we returned to more familar territory for the Kaye & Tom’s big day on September 16th.
Having worked previously at the Henley Golf & Country Club we were very happy to return to what has become one of our favourite local venues. Some venues are simply easier to work at than others and the reason we like the HGCC is down to it’s relatively small size, it’s great facilities and it’s lovely grounds. And, as with our first experience there, manager Stuart looked after us on the day with a lovely roast lamb dinner!
But anyway, some pictures from the day…
Cute flower girl loved to pose for the cameras…
With events over-running a little bit, we had to get Kaye & Tom outside pretty quick for their ‘couple’ photographs. We wouldn’t normally need to do this, but with the sun slowly sinking behind the Warwickshire countryside, time was not on our side. However as we’d done the pre-wedding shoot with Kaye & Tom earlier in the month, we managed to get through all of their couple shots in 15 minutes flat during some of the most gorgeous light we could have hoped for…
